Guest Accommodation If your guests need somewhere to stay in Glasgow, the University Accommodation Service has a special package available for attendees and guests at Caledonian Court over the graduation period. Please email them directly on accommodation gcu. Overseas Guests If you are inviting family from overseas to attend your graduation, please visit the Visa web page for information on what you need to do in order for them to apply for a standard visitor visa.
Please note that the University can't supply an invitation letter; a standard Confirmation of Student Status is the only letter we can supply. As electronic versions of these papers are available, this information is accessible worldwide via the internet. If you do not wish your name to be recorded in the newspapers please let us know in your registration form. You can also request to opt out of press by emailing graduation gcu.
Friends or family that are unable to attend the event can view the ceremony LIVE via webcast. This page will automatically refresh every two minutes to check the ceremony's availability.
Please note: the live stream is not available to view post ceremony. If you do not wish to feature in either the live stream or Video services, please contact livestreaming gcu. Please ensure that you include your Student ID when emailing. Your graduation is a formal occasion which can be lengthy for young children. We strongly encourage the use of this provision for children under the age of five years. For more information on the organisation, please visit their website.
Signage will be displayed on campus. Places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment! Payment can be made via the online store. All places must be booked no later than one week before ceremonies. For more information, please email us at graduationcreche gcu. A commemorative brochure will also be sent to your home address. As mentioned, graduates will also be invited to attend one of a number of in-person Graduate Ceremonies which will be very similar to the traditional Graduation Ceremonies and these will commence in the Spring and Summer of Given the number of graduation ceremonies that we have now had to postpone, and depending on graduate demand, these ceremonies are likely to be scheduled over more than one year.
We really want these events to mark your graduation success in a fitting way that is special and memorable for you. You may be the first person in your family to graduate, or you may have come back to the University for Further Study. Whatever stage you are at in your learning or career, we are proud and glad that you have achieved your award with us. GCU holds a number of ceremonies both in the UK and overseas with our transnational partners throughout the year.
